Fast machine and fast SimplyNAS turn-around, including set-up!

I was VERY impressed by the speed with which SimplyNAS configured, tested and shipped my new NAS unit, including setting up 2x NVME SSD's as cache along with 4x 8TB Ironwolf enterprise drives in a thin volume Raid 5 array. The NAS is LIGHTNING fast, compared to my old one. Enhancements include 10GbE and Thunderbolt 3 ports, plus I added a duel-socket, Intel 10G-baseT Ethernet adapter and two 1TB SSD's upon receipt of the unit. I changed the pre-configured set-up to include Qtiering - QNAP's way of automatically (if you choose) moving commonly accessed files from HDD's to the SSD's, increasing read-write performance for your most commonly used files. I configured the NAS itself to be a network switch, via the QNAP software, too. This has given me a 10G LAN network between the three computers on our network capable of transferring data at the speeds made possible by the NVME raid cache and quicker access speeds of the SSD's. Holy, moly... it's like night and day. I now have zero lag on any functions over this NAS access. I haven't yet tried to edit large video files on it, but I know it's going to be a LOT better than my previous set-up. I am super happy with all aspects of this buying experience and the NAS itself is CRAZY fun and fast! You'll need some technical know-how to configure stuff yourself beyond simple file-sharing with this QNAP beast. I read online that Synology's software and set-up options are a little less tech-savvy-necessary in it's requirements, but you can do so much with this QNAP, if you're willing to explore the myriad options.

We're glad the QNAP is surpassing your expectations and greatly appreciate your review.
